The first 72 hours after lip filler
Day 1 is never the final shape. What swelling usually looks like hour by hour, what helps, and when to call us.

Results vary. Treatments are performed after an in-person consultation.
Tonight
Your lips will look bigger than the plan, and that’s swelling, not filler. Ice in rounds of 10 minutes, a pillow under your head, and water instead of wine. Skip straws and hot drinks until tomorrow.
The morning after
This is often the most swollen point, sometimes uneven, sometimes with a small bruise. Lip balm, sunscreen on the skin around the mouth, and no lipstick until 24 hours have passed. Don’t massage lumps unless your nurse asked you to.
Days 2 and 3
Most of the swelling settles, and the shape starts to look like what we mapped. Small firm spots usually soften over the next two weeks. Your day 14 check is when we judge the result, under the same light as your day 0 photo.
When to call us
Call the spa if pain grows instead of fading, if the skin turns pale, dusky or blotchy, or if you see blisters. These are rare, and they are the reason a nurse is always reachable during clinic hours.
