How it works
We look at your lips at rest and while you talk, then decide where the filler goes: the border, the body, or the small corners. A first visit is often half a syringe to one full syringe. Lips swell more than any other zone, so day 1 is never the final shape. Results vary.
What the day looks like
Numbing cream for 15 minutes, then about 15 minutes of treatment. Expect swelling for 2 to 3 days, often more on the morning after, and possibly small bruises. Lip balm is your friend that week.
Aftercare
Avoid kissing, straws and very hot drinks for 24 hours, and skip lipstick until tomorrow. Ice in short rounds helps with swelling. If you get cold sores, tell us at the consult so you can start your prevention before the visit.
Who it’s not for
Not during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with an active cold sore. If you have filler from another clinic, we’ll want to know which product and when it was placed before we add more.
